Sobre o que é Arata Kangatari?
A cada 30 anos, uma nova princesa é escolhida vinda da família Hime para servir o Hayagami. Esse dia chegou novamente, mas com o passar dos anos nenhuma mulher havia nascido, a não ser um rapaz chamado Arata, com 15 anos de idade. Forçado a se disfarçar e tomar o lugar da candidata a princesa ,durante um festival ele acaba sendo acusado pelo assassinato da princesa atual, fazendo com que todos o persigam pelo suposto crime. Enquanto isso, em um mundo paralelo, um outro jovem chamado Arata encara as provocações de seus amigos em mais um novo ano escolar. Mas o que irá acontecer à esses dois Aratas?
