Waar gaat Arc the Lad over?
Jarenlang heeft een clandestiene organisatie die bekend staat als het Witte Huis geëxperimenteerd met het transformeren van volwassenen en kinderen in mutanten die bekend staan als chimera's. De jonge Elk, meester van de geest van de vlam, is erin geslaagd te ontsnappen en zichzelf te transformeren in een opkomend lid van de Hunter's Guild, die doelwitten opspoort voor geld. Na een jacht met een gestoorde kaper op de vlucht voor het Witte Huis, ontmoet Elk Lieza, zelf een ontsnapte uit een dorp dat is aangevallen door het Witte Huis en meester van het volgzame honden monster Pandit. Na het incident wijdt Elk zich aan het blootleggen van het motief erachter en het eisen van wraak op de rouge die bekend staat als Arc, die ogenschijnlijk de aanval op Elk's dorp leidde en de ouders van de jongeman vermoordde.
