잉글랜드의 마지막 왕국을 물려받은 알프레드. 잉글랜드의 핏줄로 바이킹 전사가 된 우트레드. 이들은 적인가, 동지인가. 라스트 킹덤에 전운이 감도는 지금, 두 남자의 운명이 맞물리기 시작한다. 《라스트 킹덤》은 버나드 콘웰의 베스트셀러 소설 시리즈 《더 색슨 스토리스(The Saxon Stories)》를 원작으로 하는 서사 드라마로, 새로 공개되는 시즌에서도 알렉산더 드레이먼이 우트레드 역으로 출연한다. 《라스트 킹덤》의 제작은 유니버설 인터내셔널 스튜디오(Universal International Studios)의 자회사인 카니발 필름스(Carnival Films)가 맡았다.
