Worum geht es in Little Birds?
Tanger im Jahre 1955. Die berühmt-berüchtigte „International Zone“ ist einer der letzten Außenposten kolonialer Dekadenz. Die amerikanische Debütantin Lucy Savage (Juno Temple) steht dort vor einem Kulturschock. Als sie ihren kontrollsüchtigen Eltern entflieht, freut sich Savage auf ihre Heirat mit Lord Hugo Cavendish-Smythe. Sie ahnt nicht, dass Hugo sein Herz längst an eine andere verloren hat. Schließlich trifft Lucy auf die marokkanische Domina Cherifa Lamour (Yumna Marwan), die Diplomaten und Ausländern ihre Dienste anbietet, und auf den ägyptischen Aristokraten Adham Abaza (Raphael Acloque).
