Worum geht es in I Am the Night?
Fauna Hodel wurde als Baby adoptiert. Als junge Erwachsene macht sie sich auf die Suche nach ihrer Vergangenheit und stößt auf allerlei düstere Geheimnisse, die unter anderem zu dem berühmt-berüchtigten Gynäkologen Dr. George Hodel führen, der in einige vertuschte Skandale in Hollywood involviert war … Die Serie basiert auf dem Leben der realen Fauna Hodel. Die stellte bei der Suche nach ihren Wurzeln fest, dass ihr biologischer Vater ein Tatverdächtiger im Mord an Elizabeth Short war, der als 'Black Daliah murder' im Jahr 1947 aufgrund der Brutalität des Verbrechens in den USA landesweit für Aufmerksamkeit sorgte. Der ungelöste Fall beschäftigt bis heute die amerikanische Popkultur.
